I am participating in the #BarAThonEdition3 which involves alternate days of blogging from July 2nd, 2018 to July 15th, 2018, based on a theme and a prompt for the day.
I’m used to it,
That feeling of being left out,
With them around.
I know it hurts, but—
what hurts more,
is knowing,
That you weren’t
even a simple thought
In their minds.
Not a second chance,
Nor the backup friend;
Slowly realising
How you become
less important,
day by day,
hour by hour,
Until one day,
you cease to exist.

Ah this is indeed a sad tale and one so many of us have to tell. It’s happened to me too and feels awful like my self worth is nothing. It can make a loner out of a person.
Absolutely. We’ve all been there, although not every one will admit to it. I echo your emotions in this situation, totally. Good to see you stop by the blog, Shalz. 🙂
Well written but so despondent. What happened to cheer ?
Yes, it was the mood that I was in. Didn’t have to try very hard. I felt it in my heart that way. Felt lighter after writing it down.
Good. Writing things out of your system is the best way to deal with sad feelings.
It is, Sunita. Somedays, the words become my friends.
