For Skywatch this week, I bring you a shot of a deep blue sky taken from the flight, just before the descent to Bangalore was announced by the pilot! This was at the wee hours of dawn, when the first rays of the rising sun were beginning to light up the dark skies. To me, that cusp of night and day is always a magical hour! Most of my captures at dawn and dusk try to capture these fleeting moments.
This is all for now. More sky shots coming soon. Until then, wishing you all a very happy weekend. I’m heading for the annual Bangalore Lit Fest tomorrow. What are your plans?

Thank you, Rajlakshmi. It was an easy capture to tell you the truth. 😀
The amateur artist in me is itching to paint this beautiful sky, wonder if the exact blue will be available in paint. Lovely.
Oh, so glad to hear that it inspired you to paint. I’m pretty sure one can create the right shade of blue by mixing the right colours. 🙂
Lovely! Loved that shade of blue you captured, Esha!
Thanks a lot, Shilpa. Glad you think so. 🙂
seamless stitching of the horizon with the sky and just a whisper of light streaking across!! Gorgeous one Esha!!
Yes, those early hours of the morning is a bit like that! Thanks for stopping by, Shalz. <3
It is for the same reason why i love to have a window seat in flight 🙂 It fits into ur weekly challenge, indeed a skywatch! I couldn’t pot for this Wednesday, Guess will post a similar image next week from my trip to Thailand.
No issues, Keerthi. Post when you can and at your own pace. Have a wonderful trip to Thailand btw. I’m sure you are excited about it. 🙂
Already been there Esha, was mentioning a trip from the past 🙂
Planes offers the eyes the best soulful shots in the morning and fondly remember the eye watching the landing in Mumbai and Dubai. A superb shot. I think that I need to check in my album about the shots clicked, except that I terrible at clicking.
Yes, all you now need to do is capture a shot of the sky or pick one from your existing ones and post them. It is really that simple!
Beautiful shot, Esha! Reminds me of my flight earlier this year when I captured a similar shot somewhere over Burma with dawn breaking over the horizon.
Thank you Arvind! Do let me know when you share that shot…I’m curious to see it!
Already posted last Wednesday on my blog, Esha!
Oh is it? Will check it out then!
Sure 🙂
