The Glow of the Morning Light

Only from the heart can you touch the sky.

—Rumi

It feels so lovely to be back to posting for #SkywatchFriday, after a long time. Today, I’m sharing a few recent captures from my sky collection, shot on the go, on a busy weekday morning, while going about my everyday chores. The day was going to be busy but, seeing the beautiful reflection of the sun on Lake Hulimavu, I felt a wave of joy fill my being. I felt one with the sky!

As always, it’s spending a few quiet minutes in the company of Mother Nature that comes to the rescue whenever life gets overwhelming and even otherwise, they serve as a reminder that life happens in these little nameless obscure moments that come and go, while we are busy making plans for the future. Nature, almost always, gives me the friendly nudge to pause and savour this beautiful life. The sky views at dawn fill me with awe every morning. Some days, I like to simply soak in the bliss of the morning light and draw peace within my soul, to last me through the madness of the day. I have to say with a grateful heart, that on most days, it works beautifully. There’s nothing to do, except to be in the moment.

How do you start your mornings? Would love to know if you love sky watching like I do. Would love to know what you think of my skyscapes, so do drop in your thoughts in the comments below.

That’s all for today. I’ll be back next week sharing more from my sky collection. Until then, have a lovely weekend, friends and take care!

  1. I love all your sky pictures. The one with the flowers look absolutely amazing. I am glad you are able to spend these blissful moments in nature.

    1. Thank you so much, Raj. We hardly get beautiful blue sky days here, so making do with whatever little is there. Its been weeks of incessant rains here in Bangalore. We’re all tired to the core of the wet and windy weather.
Please send us some sunshine, Raj. 🙂

  2. So beautiful! I haven’t been spending time gazing sky except when we go for a walk after moving to our new home. I love your sky pics, Esha. They are so serene!

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words, Vinitha. I love sky gazing, as you know but the weather hasn’t been very kind on us so I’m just banking on all my sky pictures to enjoy the views, for now. 😀

  3. Thank you for visiting my blog.

I love early mornings, and if I catch anything interesting outside, I would run out with my camera. Last few days have been fog, which I find mysterious.

I like the picture of the vine against the morning sky.
