These colours are a dream, aren’t they?

It was an evening in early June last year, when the scorching summer sun was about to go down behind the high rises right across the road. I had just reached home after wrapping up a long and hectic day at work when I noticed a golden glow reflecting on the panes.
The sky, with its layers of gold, ochre and red, looked resplendent, as if it were a new bride! I was brewing my tea in the kitchen when I saw this view and I grabbed a few quick shots on the phone. I think this one was the best of the entire lot.
Won’t you agree with me that the silhouettes heighten the drama in this image?
It’s been a fairly busy week for me but I had my sky photo post almost ready, despite the busy-ness, because this is now a part of my weekly blogging routine every week, when I get to connect with you all—my fellow sky lovers, from all over the world; stop by your beautiful blogs and catch up with the news and events in your lives. I absolutely love this connection and I hope you do too!
I’m looking forward to the weekend. On Saturday, I’m attending a day-long event—which will be a gathering of change makers and visionary leaders at the SAP Labs India, committed to reshaping how India approaches mental health and well-being. So, that’s going to be interesting, as I know some of the speakers and the work they have been doing over the years in the area.
Sunday, as usual, promises to bring me the much-needed quiet and calm—it’s going to be my day for reading and relaxing and mainly recharging my batteries before the Monday morning madness starts again.
On this note, I wish you all a wonderful and relaxed weekend! Enjoy your downtime doing whatever it is that you love/enjoy doing…get the rest, or be out and about or simple be!
If you’re stopping by the blog today, I’d love to know where you’re visiting from and yes—please don’t forget to leave the link to your post.
Have a beautiful weekend, folks and happy sky watching! 🙂

Simply awesome! It reminds me of a hymn that we used to sing in school as kids. “The heavens are blue proclaiming to you the glory of God their creator. At sunset or night, they’re a beautiful sight, yes, they sing forth the glory of God. Though this is not blue, the hues that colour the sky are magical! Thank you for your photographs of the sky. They always make me pause for a moment and take in a deep breath of awe and gratitude .
Gorgeous! You’re absolutely right, the drama and contrast are unparalleled. Sunsets never fail to amaze me. Have a great weekend!

Silhouettes featured on the sunset sky is perfect. Have a relaxing weekend.
A very beautiful golden sky! Yes, I learned a while ago that even with beautiful skies, you still need something of interest in the foreground (like your building silhouettes) to complete the photo. Well done!
Spectacular photograph you have for us and yes I totally agree that the silhouette adds to the interest and drama of the photo.
Thank you so much, Alan! Happy sky watching and wishing you a fantastic weekend as well.
