It’s International Blog Delurking Week – 2023

Even before I could realise it, 2023 arrived and it is here!

It was an eventful year—2022—that brought into our lives, a mixed bag of experiences, full of joy, wisdom, heartbreak, losses and learnings! What a year again!

It is time, therefore, that we bring in renewed hope and enthusiasm, as we find ourselves at the start of another year of blogging, writing, sharing and connecting. I must say I’m deeply grateful that I regularly wrote and published on the blog in 2022, and despite the challenges that life kept throwing at me, I might have paused a bit here and there, but the blogging continued. It was my balm, my safe space to share my thoughts.

So, when my good friend Parul nudged me to join the International Blog Delurking Week of 2023, I jumped in, right away. I’ve been doing it for three years now and it’s basically a way of re-connecting with the readers and fellow-bloggers as all set off on another blogging journey around the Sun! 🙂

So, if you are new here, this is something we bloggers put up every year, during the first week of January, inviting readers to leave a quick note with a hello, sharing a little about who they are and if one happens to be a blogger, a little more about their blogs too (in case it’s the first time).

It helps us to get to know each other a little better and forge new connections with readers.

So, are you game?

If you’ve been a regular here, you already know that this space—Mysoultalks—has been my second home for the past 8 years, and it has been an extremely fulfilling journey connecting and learning from so many talented writers and bloggers. We’ve shared ideas, joined blog hops, felt the vibes from one another, pushed ourselves beyond the comfort zones, nudged each other through writers blocks and what not.

Through blogging, we’ve also met some amazing bloggers who turned friends, and from whom I continue to learn so much about life and everything under the sun!

Some days, we do ponder on how, over the past few years, the blogging community has changed so much, from what it used to be in the earlier days, but then, truth be told, I’ve not had the heart to quit this space, which maybe the reason why I still continued to soldier on and blog at least once a week and thanks to the Universe, have somehow persisted, despite the odds that kept surfacing every now and then, the two years of the pandemic included. If anything, blogging has kept me going through the roller coaster rides of life and I’m only deeply grateful for that.

Enough about myself. I’d love to hear about YOU now. And how did you happen to stop by, here, today?

It would be lovely if you share a little about yourself, your plans for the year and what brought you here. If you’re a blogger, I promise to visit you back, if you leave the link below. Who knows, this could be the beginning of another beautiful journey for us, right?

On that note, I wish you a beautiful, happy and promising 2023! Stay safe, and stay strong and come what may, never give up on yourself.

With much love, hugs and tons of positive vibes from me to you—

Esha

  1. I thought I had commented on this post when I read it the first time. Apparently I didn’t! I love reading all your posts, Esha, and I believe you know that. Your posts exude positivity and your flow like a freely flowing river. Needless to say your blog is always a delight to read. Keep writing and blogging, Esha. I, too, miss the community spirit of the blogging world many times. But, seeing that we too are part of this community, it’s on us to keep blogging. Right? I am glad you haven’t given up on blogging, Esha, despite the challenges life threw at you many times in the past. You are my companion in the blogging world when it gets too quiet and lonely here. Hugs, Esha. 🤍🤍

  2. Hi Esha,

Nice to be back here. Your posts are filled with so much of positivity and good vibes that one always leaves this place with a smile. That’ll never change.

Here’s to writing and reading more blogs.

    Wishing you a fabulous 2023.

  3. I really like how you have not given up on blogging regularly. I really like reading your posts. There have been times when I may not have commented on the post, but I read your posts and like to think about what you have written. Looking forward to reading more posts from you this year too!

  4. I have been reading you off and on for years now, Esha. You have a very calm way about words. Happy to know that you have been writing regularly in 2022. You and I have known each other for years. I have two blogs, Rachna says and Rachna cooks. Hopefully, I can write more regularly on Rachna says this year. Let’s see.

  5. Hi Esha,
How I miss the blogging community 🙁
I miss those days from years ago when we would visit blogs regularly and bond with bloggers from around the world. For the new year, I wish the blogging community comes together again to just share their feelings in their blogs and visit each other, cheer each other up as we all strive to find time and space to keep blogging despite the challenges life throws our way.

  6. Good to be back at blogging Esha and I meant to but got lazy in joining up on this one. We do need a bit more of the writing community feel to be back and hopefully this year will see to it. I have also had quite a roller coaster year and am hoping for things to settle down a LOT in 2023 and basically take things a little more easy. Happy to be “delurking” on your blog and hope to see more of it this year. Have a wonderful year ahead Esha!!

  7. Hi Esha!

Hearing about Blog Delurking for the very first time, but then I have been missing from the blogosphere for the last 3 years!

I now blog at mugofmuse.com, as KAY. Hopped over from BAR, where you already know me. 😀
I don’t use my real name anymore in the blogosphere.
Looking forward to another beautiful journey here…
    See you around!

  8. Thanks for staying on in the blogosphere despite all that you’ve been going through. Your words matter! ♥
I love that you and Parul have this up, Esha. We really need to try and create more community around our writing this year.

  9. So glad you joined me on this one, Esha! I know I have you when I publish this year on year. Your posts and writing always bring me joy and I wish we continue to write and read as much as we can 🙂 Hugs and so happy to be here!
