Of Cherry Blossoms, Scenic Views & Gorgeous Sunsets | #SkywatchFriday
Of the many cities I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to, Tokyo remains an all-time favourite. Today, I’m sharing a few photos from my travel diary that I hope you enjoy as much as I do.
The beauty of an April day in Tokyo (in the middle of the Sakura season which comes just once a year and lasts for barely a week) comes alive through these scenes and reminds me it’s probably time for another visit again. I’m not really sure if that’s going to really happen but I do live in hope and every now and then, I go through the album, enjoy the pictures and refresh my memories.
A view of the Shinjuku Gardens in downtown Tokyo.
A cherry blossom-lined road in the Hanami season, when people come to celebrate the spring festival by stopping by and spending time eating, drinking and catching up with each other. It’s a beautiful season to spend outdoors.
The walk from the Imperial Palace along this tree-lined path was unforgettable. See how pretty the Cherry blossoms look!
This golden sunset was taking place right before our eyes. It was a breathtaking sight!
The soft glow of crimson came in a matter of minutes. Every building with a glass exterior/facade glowed in pink !
One last look at this sight and I felt an eternity had passed by! It was the last picture I took, of the sky, before we hit the subway to get back to our hotel.

I love the gorgeous photos of the cherry blossoms and the sky you captured and of course the city. I had a friend who was stationed in a suburb of Tokyo and he loved going to the city for all the sights and sounds.
Oh wow, so envious. Japan remains in my bucket list.

Beautiful pictures of your trip to Tokyo. The cherry blossom trees are fantastic. I would love to see them in person. Take care. Have a great weekend.
