“Heaven is under our feet as well as over our heads.”
— Henry David Thoreau
For today’s edition of Skywatch Friday, I share two images from my gallery, shot a couple of years ago…As you can make out, they are sunset captures—my favourite hour of the day—and the reason I chose them was their colours—they are truly bewitching! Hence the carefully-worded caption above!

Life has been rather quiet since the past ten days. I fell sick. with one of the nastiest bouts of gastroenteritis ever, due to contaminated water. I was not alone. Nearly 40 residents in our apartment complex went through a similar condition.
One afternoon, whilst browsing through my phone gallery, I found these pictures.
Those of you who know me, know that I’ve always been a sunset person—whether I’m sitting on the beach, hiking in the mountains, or relaxing in a rocking chair in a balcony, watching a breathtaking sunset will be one of the most magical things for me!
Skywatching, a lot of rest and plenty of hydration helped me get back on my feet again! Meditation worked beautifully as always, to keep me focussed on counting the blessings!
Since the blog and writing, in general, took a back seat during this time, I took the opportunity to rest through this discomfort and the sickness, accepting every bit of help, support, peace and calm that came my way. Grateful to have come out stronger on the other side!!
On that note, it’s time to sign off—but not without wishing you all a beautiful Friday and an awesome weekend that’s coming up soon.
If you’re stopping by the blog today, do please share where you’re visiting from and yes—please don’t forget to leave the link to your post, so I could return the visit back!
Have a beautiful weekend, folks and happy sky watching! 🙂

The colors here are just wow! Which apartment in Bangalore do you stay in Esha? The views you have are fabulous!
Contaminated water is a fear most communities are facing these days. I’m glad you are feeling better now.
So glad to hear that you’re better! Hopefully it never happens again, and the issue is permanently resolved. On a brighter note, those pictures are stunning!
Contaminated water supplied to an upmarket apartment – it is sad to learn about this. I am glad you have gotten better now. I am always in awe of your sunset photos. The sky seems to be on fire in the second photo.
Stunning sky pics. The second one is gorgeous times gorgeous.
How did such a wide contamination happen? I’m glad to hear that you are better now, Esha.
These are gorgeous sunset photos.
40 residents!! Omg… I hope they are all getting well. You too take care. ❤️
They are indeed. That second picture left me speechless!
I have never seen skies that red. What a gorgeous shot Esha. Glad you’re back on your feet. Many people in Pune are also suffering due to contaminated water. It’s such a pity that while on one hand we’re building superfast trains and massive idols we’re still struggling for something as basic as clean water.
Stunning skies. Nature’s colors are indeed the best!
