I didn’t write my free write post last Sunday!
Since I’ve mostly been working on healing myself and the rest of the family from the after-effects of Covid, there wasn’t much time to do anything else. Just as I had expected, the energy levels plummeted and left me utterly exhausted, so I was mostly pushing myself to get on with the basic chores through most of last week. Just when I thought I would slowly get back to my fitness routine, I developed Bronchitis and then, more medicines followed. I keep telling myself that I’m healing and I firmly believe I am—one step at a time works just fine for me, as long as I’m getting there!
Having said that, I think I’m doing fairly well thus far, fighting brain fog and staying physically and mentally active, ensuring that I’m getting adequate steps per day, in addition to some light yoga as well. The cardio exercises are draining me so I’m skipping them for now.
I must say that the one thing sustaining me is the daily meditation. It’s kept me sane and I hope I can continue with that for as long as I can.
If you’ve been living in Bangalore, you’ll know that the weather has been a dampener as the skies have taken on a perpetual shade of grey, once again! The mercury levels are down and the monsoon greys have come to be a constant while the Sun does a little guest appearance once in a fortnight.
But, this morning, when I spotted a teeny tiny ray of sunlight filtering in, it did something magical to my mood and spirit. It was as if a burst of inspiration hit me. I felt happy and as I furiously scribbled on my journal, I became aware of two things – one, that I needed to get back to my morning routine at the earliest, despite my current slackened pace, and second, that I needed to commit to doing one interesting/fun/new thing every day, so that I could get myself back on track, and feel motivated through this long-drawn recovery process.
There are a lot of things not going right for us at the moment, but I have to say I do feel extremely grateful to the Universe for granting me the little things that cheer me up every now and then. They are the tiny windows to a happy space, where I can once again imagine myself feeling strong, upbeat and energetic enough to get back to all the wonderful things that I would love to do again.
Another week is almost on its’ way out while this post is being written. A lot of things that I’d have loved to share are still working their way into my journal and maybe, later, might even appear in a future blog post.
In a nutshell, all I can say is, that this week has been a mixed bag for me, and the best part is that I’ve somehow found inspiration yet again, most unexpectedly. The thing about inspiration that always make me wonder is this—Do they seek us out? Or do we seek them out? If you know the answer, I’d love to hear from you. I, for one, can’t say for sure. But, I know, if we persist, we will always find the inspiration to do things we’ve not done before, to weather storms in our lives, and fight our battles through the worst of times. This week, I’m blessed to have found my inspiration in a podcast. And that, is how this post, which I’d never intended to write this week, got written and published. 😀
That’s all from me today. Wishing you all a beautiful rest of the week, and a relaxed weekend ahead.
With much love and tons of positive energy to each and every one of you dear readers!! Stay safe, healthy and blessed, you all!
