On the flowing backwater stretches of Kerala, nestled in captivating greenery, amidst lush paddy fields, stand these tall coconut trees, swaying gently to the winds as the cruise boats pass by one after another. I remember one such trip, being led on a cruise boat by a gentleman —a local of the village in Alleppey, listening to his stories, soaking in the quiet and taking back a plethora of memories to cheer forever. Trees can give you so much peace, in spite of being so inconspicuous. So much of what you see in Kerala are these Coconut trees. They are everywhere and they make you feel a part of the ecosystem when you’re surrounded by so many of them, as you see in this picture of Alleppey.
Joining Parul Thakur with her post based on the theme, #Thursday Tree Love –where she brings you her tree picture and links to other beautiful ‘tree’ posts from the week before. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree and link it back to her post. Let’s appreciate Nature around us!
