An Evening sky | #SkywatchFriday

After almost eight weeks, I’m back to posting for Skywatch Friday. I took a break as I was participating in the #AtoZAprilBloggingChallenge all through April and in May, I took it easy as I was recovering from a couple of health related issues. May brought nice things along, including birthday celebrations that proved to be just the thing that I needed to pull myself up. It was only towards the end of May that the heaviness shifted, which was a huge relief. A visit to my therapist, later confirmed that the tiredness and exhaustion that I felt all those weeks had nothing to do with the work or writing from the blogging I did in April. I’ve been meaning to share more about it in my upcoming posts, because I feel it might help others deal with their issues better than I did.

Okay, so here’s another view of the evening sky! This cloud formation caught my eye, as I stepped into the balcony to tend to my potted beauties.

The sky has been rather overcast over the past couple of weeks…with not a hint of colour, the looming grey monochrome has been seeping into my soul, making me realise how often we take the brighter days for granted!

So much like life itself, don’t you think? And how good days slip by so easily, that we barely notice them until we face bad days all over again?

Look at the beauty of the cloud? That dash of colour on the grey is so striking! Well, it was enough to partially lift my spirits that day.

Later, upon reflection, I have to say, I realised that there is so much to be grateful for, even on those not so good days, that come by—and I’m practicing gratitude more intentionally now, and with a lot more consistency, as well.

As the week gets over and we gear up for another weekend, I wish you create more time to recover from the busy-ness of the week. It feels great to be back to #SkywatchFriday after these past two months and I’m rather eagerly looking forward to checking out all the amazing sky shots from everyone.

Wishing you have a relaxed weekend and plenty of mindful, sky watching moments to renew and envigorate yourself for another busy week ahead.

Much love and positive vibes.

  1. I love this shot. The sun hitting the cloud tops, giving them a nice color, on top of the gray below.

I hope you get your mojo back. I had knee replacement surgery in February and I did not anticipate how much my mood and energy would be affected. It took forever before I felt myself again. I am active on instagram and some friends told me that they could tell from my photos that I was struggling and then later they said I started posting photos like I used to. I could have sworn there was no difference.

    Hang in there.

    1. Thank you so much for the kind words, Alan! Wishing you speediest recovery from the surgery – I do hope things are better now and of course, when we are unwell, we are definitely not at our best. Fingers crossed for the coming days. May we all overcome the odds and continue to be our best, just as we are! Thanks so much for the reassurance and the hope!
      Happy skywatching to you too!

  2. The cloud image you posted left we speechless. Welcome back! I missed you.

    1. Thank you. Yes, absolutely…so much to be grateful for…couldn’t agree more—gratitude is a powerful emotion, which makes us appreciate everything we have.
