A Glimpse of Magic: Twilight Serenity | SkywatchFriday Week 17

A couple of weeks back, I was standing in this beach, quietly watching the golden orb dipping beneath the endless expanse of the Indian Ocean. The sky had transformed into a breathtaking masterpiece, with a motley of colours—wisps of cotton candy peach and tangerine danced across the horizon, while the calm waters reflected the deep blue of the sky.

The rhythmic ebb and flow of the waves danced along with the symphony of colors, while I stood alone, sinking into the soft, powdery sand. One couldn’t help but be captivated by the magic of nature unfolding. The lone coconut tree swayed gently in the salty breeze, its’ silhouette painted in shades of amber, against the backdrop of an ever-changing sky.

The sun kept descending further, casting elongated shadows, while the land embraced a tranquil stillness.

Time stood still as I walked along with the scattered clouds that had caught fire, ablaze with the last embers of sunlight. For a while, it felt that the beauty of the sunset hour had transcended the ordinary.

The magical interlude made me realise the worth of the pause that I had taken and I was so grateful for stepping back from the demands of a busy life and inviting reflection and gratitude for the unhurried pace that I had found myself in.

I was in sheer awe, as I always do in such moments! It was as if, there was nothing before or after—the past had receded into oblivion while the future lay bare, unperturbed, tucked away in some remote space, totally out of sight. Just as I had wanted it to be.

The only audible thing besides the waves, was my breath. In those moments, my heart did a few somersaults, skipping a few beats, only to rest in the assurance of that wondrous evening that was ours to enjoy!

The sky and a potpourri of treasured memories—enough to fill one’s heart with deep, heartfelt gratitude!
