Your best life will not be found in comfort. It will be found in fighting for what you believe in.
It’s been nearly three months since my last post for #skywatchFriday.
While the world has eased back into normalcy after what seemed like a very long time, life has got busy again. The teen is now back to offline school and the husband is working out of his office at least twice a week. It’s such a welcome relief to have some space to myself to do my things, especially after the two years of the pandemic, when it seemed we’d be stepping on each other’s toes most of the time!
The two senior members at home—my mom and mom-in-law do chip in from time to time, ready to offer a helping hand, despite their own frail health and plenty of limitations, while I continue to juggle between housework, school runs, caring duties and my work projects. The good days are interspersed with challenging ones due to the unique health challenges of the family members ranging between 18 and 80, which often throws our lives into a tizzy every now and then.
Life goes on. The husband and I do the best we can, straddling the twin worlds of the personal and the professional, creating the safe space we need to retain our calm and find our balance in the quiet everyday moments.
With the pace of every day life picking up once again, it has become increasingly important for me to prioritise self-care and me-time, reminding myself to give that much-needed push to get out of the comfort zone—to be more. Or perhaps, I should say, to be a better version of myself every day.
I must confess when the challenges in life took over, I almost stopped my art practice and clicking random photos on the go. When I chanced to go through my Insta feed recently, I realised how rare my sky clicks have come to be. Now that the early mornings have made a comeback, once more I’m back to soaking in my morning quiet. So, I’d really love to be back to posting my sky clicks more often. Well, hopefully! 🙂
A big hello to everyone who’s stopping by the blog today. How was your week? How have things been for you lately? If you are posting for #skywatchfriday, do leave your post links in the comments below, so I can visit you back.
That’s it for now. See you next Friday.
Meanwhile, wishing you all a blessed weekend.
Much love to you!
