Hello, everyone!
This has been a mixed kind of week, with very heavy rain, occasional cloudy days and an everyday all-pervading gloomy sky that seemed to spread out all across the horizon. But, last Friday, as we were bracing up for another wet start to the weekend, we were so lucky to have witnessed this amazingly beautiful phenomenon of twin rainbows! It only lasted a few minutes but it kept us all amazed— kid and grownups alike, watching the sight, mesmerized!
Getting the complete arc of the rainbow in one frame was out of question…..so it came in two halves. First this….
…then this.
This was at dusk that Friday evening…
….and this was at twilight!
Skywatching is spiritually very uplifting as an activity. It only takes a few minutes to look out and admire what beauty surrounds us every day. Guess, after all, my soul lies in the skies! What about you? Do you watch out for such skies?

Glad I found your blog. This is really cool. I’m a new follower. My blog has a reflective/humor-ish spin. You might like it as well.
Thank you for the follow! Will check out yours too right away! 🙂
That’s sheer romance happening up there, in the heavens! Great click, Esha!
Thanks a lot, Shilpa. It sure is. So much of drama up there in the sky while we mortals remain mute spectators.
Spectacular sky shots!! The rainbows are so well defined, and the sky colors are awesome!
Thanks a lot, Peter. So much of beauty surrounds us…its a shame we can’t capture enough of it.
Rainbows are like a special gift for us to see. A double one is really special. I like the two other images too. Shooting through the fence at the sky is different. Thanks for thinking outside the box this week.
Thank you so much JM! I quite agree with you on rainbows being special. I almost become a child all over again seeing one even now. Thanks for appreciating that shot through the nets. Glad that experiment worked!
How amazing. The pictures are shot so well and with an aesthetic eye. I agree, watching them can be a very therapeutic act 🙂
Wow ….. really I adore that rainbow photo. Such a stunning beauty. Sky watching is rejuvenating for me …..
Its unpredictive here, there was a lot of humidity and suddenly thunder and lightening and heavy rain. Totally disturbing any routine we follow
I agree Menaka. It is very unpredictable these days. And the rain always catches us off guard causing so much inconvenience to everyone.
Such amazing shots! Just lovely.
Thanks so much, ladyfi. 🙂
Loved last picture shot through the net giving it a new perspective.
Thanks so much! Yes, couldn’t avoid the net somehow but the effect isn’t bad I guess, as you say!
I think the net has given it a different look. Love it…. 🙂
Happy to know that. 🙂
😊👍
I watch out intently too…if i find it quite unique, i snap it! Wonderful colors and crisp shots.
I see your pics every once in a while, Alok! So good to know that you do too. You can enjoy some of the most breathtaking locations we can only dream of! 🙂
