Looking up to the Sky #SkywatchFriday 55

Hello, everyone!

This has been a mixed kind of week, with very heavy rain, occasional cloudy days and an everyday all-pervading gloomy sky that seemed to spread out all across the horizon. But, last Friday, as we were bracing up for another wet start to the weekend, we were so lucky to have witnessed this amazingly beautiful phenomenon of twin rainbows! It only lasted a few minutes but it kept us all amazed— kid and grownups alike, watching the sight, mesmerized!

Getting the complete arc of the rainbow in one frame was out of question…..so it came in two halves. First this….

…then this.

This was at dusk that Friday evening…

 ….and this was at twilight!

Skywatching is spiritually very uplifting as an activity. It only takes a few minutes to look out and admire what beauty surrounds us every day. Guess, after all, my soul lies in the skies! What about you? Do you watch out for such skies?

  1. Rainbows are like a special gift for us to see. A double one is really special. I like the two other images too. Shooting through the fence at the sky is different. Thanks for thinking outside the box this week.

    1. Thank you so much JM! I quite agree with you on rainbows being special. I almost become a child all over again seeing one even now. Thanks for appreciating that shot through the nets. Glad that experiment worked!
