You can’t have the silver linings without the clouds, can you?
I caught a glorious sky this evening, as I looked out of the window. The sun was due to set in some time, and the clouds appeared to cover the sun but oh, the rays that shot from behind the greys were simply too beautiful not to be noticed. I had no intention to click any photographs but one look at the sky and I knew this was a sight not to be missed. In that split second, the moment stood before me, frozen, too utterly magical and ethereal to be put into words!
Sky shot taken from my balcony this evening!
And then, as it happens, for some reason, it made me think of this…
Too often we miss the silver lining because we’re looking for the gold.
Don’t we all? Guilty as charged—I’m no different. What about you?

Is anyone looking at the rays and the angle between them? The sun is not that far from the earth if you calculate.
An eloquent picture, thank you.
Yes, you are right, Robert. Couldn’t calculate that but can tell you it was a blissful sight no doubt!
Thank you very much for stopping by to appreciate the post and share your thoughts. Have a blessed weekend.
This makes you realise that there is a God who can create such stunning pictures every moment of the day!
Beautiful!
Such a beautiful picture. And I agree with what you said about the silver lining. I miss such lovely views of the sky. My earlier office building had a lovely view and I miss that now.
Beautiful sky! Thanks for visiting my blog.
Yes we do! I love this beautiful shot and your thought provoking writing, Esha.
I love these crepuscular rays at sunset. You have captured it so well. 😀 Beautiful sky shot.
Lovely…divine rays!
Thank you, Arvind! It was a timely shot. A second later and I’d have lost it.
That is a glorious sky, and I definitely see the silver lining! Have a nice weekend.
Glad you did. Thank you for stopping by, Peter! Wish you a wonderful weekend too.
I do and it’s lovely!
Yes, I guess we do! I know I do, every so often, that it makes me feel guilty!
I know, I am no different either, Shilpa! Life does teach you things on hind sight. This has to be one of them for me.
