Have you seen a Fan-Shaped Tree? | #ThursdayTreeLove

Sharing today, a uniquely-shaped tree in our apartment complex, where we currently reside. Looking at it, most people say it resembles a ceremonial traditional Japanese fan, which we learnt is known as the —‘Uchiwa’.

The Fan-shaped tree in our apartment complex.

Notice how the branches of the tree bend on either side in perfect symmetry, creating a beautiful form that not only pleases the eye but also amazes, in equal proportion. Not surprising, since the artist in question is the Maker, Himself!

Have you ever seen a tree, shaped like that?

Thursday Tree love is a photo feature on Parul’s blog that is hosted on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month. The next edition will go live on January 23, 2020. If you would like to play along, post a picture of a tree on your blog and link it back to her post.

  1. Now that I have seen the tree, I am so glad you shared. It’s beautiful and see how within a few weeks there are no leaves? Nature surprises, isn’t it?
Thank you, Esha. Your apartment complex is beautiful. I hope to see you on the 13th.

    1. Yes, Parul, still cannot believe how bare it has turned within a few weeks!

What fun it was to catch up last week and I still remember you standing on our balcony and saying how you could now relate to my pictures better.

Much love and hugs dearest. Have a relaxed weekend. xoxo

    1. Absolutely. Isn’t it amazing how they grow around whatever space is available and totally in harmony with the surroundings?

  3. Wow, that’s a beautiful tree with symmetrical branches on either side. I see this kind of fan shaped tree for the first time, thanks to you, Esha. 🙂

    1. I know, same here. I’ve never seen one like this one, before! So glad you liked it. Thanks for stopping by, Vinitha

    1. Amazing shape, right? I was always looking at this tree and thinking why does it look strange to me? And, then it dawned on me, it’s the shape that is so unique.
So glad to see you stop by today. 😊

    1. Oh really? Scootora island… never heard of that before! Socotra is what I know of with very strange vegetation. Did you mean that one?
